TCA Recognizes PGT Trucking with Fleet Safety Award
The Truckload Carriers Association (TCA), along with presenting sponsors Great West Casualty Company and Arthur J. Gallagher, announced the 50th Annual TCA Fleet Safety Awards competition. This award recognizes truckload carriers who demonstrate an exceptional commitment to safety by achieving the lowest accident frequency ratios per million miles within six mileage-based divisions.
PGT Trucking received 3rd place in Division V (50-99.9 million miles). Eighteen carriers were recognized overall.
“This award is a testament to the efforts of our Proud Professional Drivers,” stated Andrew Erin, Senior Vice President, Sales & Safety. “We strongly believe in the effectiveness of our safety program, and I sincerely thank our dedicated staff and drivers for making safety a daily priority.”
The Fleet Safety Award winners will be recognized at TCA’s annual convention in early March, and the grand prize, which is based on the carrier’s overall safety program, will also be announced at the conference.
“Safety has been an integral part of PGT’s culture since our establishment in 1981,” said Gregg Troian, PGT Trucking President. “We are proud to receive this recognition from the TCA, showcasing our efforts after 45 years of safety-driven service, and we will continue to strive to be the safest motor carrier on the road.”
While the TCA Fleet Safety Award is proof of our commitment to safety, we must remain focused on safety every day. Remember, at PGT, “Safety is Everyone’s Job – All the Time.”
